Photojournalism Project for Chevron

Chevron asked me to shoot a kid’s soccer camp they were sponsoring where professional soccer players coached the kids. This photojournalism assignment was all about finding or anticipating the moments that would express the spirit of the event. I had complete access, the kids and coaches accepted me as part of the camp and I could not have been more pleased with my story.

After working as a photojournalist for over a decade, I cherish telling a story where there was nothing but goodwill and fun among everyone. No shooting, no acrimony, no politics, and no danger. It was one of my favorite assignments ever.
