RE Plus Corporate Event Photography Project

We were hired to shoot corporate event photography for RE Plus, the largest clean energy event in North America, focusing on the business of solar, energy storage, hydrogen, wind, microgrids, and EVs.

RE+ was celebrating its 20th anniversary and it brought together the energy industry with the purpose of fostering a cleaner future. We were there to photograph three days of people engaging in business opportunities, conference events, speakers, showroom exhibits, education workshops, and seminars across the clean energy industry.

For this corporate event photography project, I brought in a second photographer, Sarah Golonka to help cover all of the scheduled events including a golf tournament, showroom exhibits, a private event at Anaheim Stadium, a private event at the House of Blues, private parties, global market summits, a documentary movie, technical seminars, affinity group receptions, a 6k foot race, government panels, networking events, and hydrogen hybrid Grand Prix race between highschoolers from all over the world.

Over the three days, we delivered 2,600 images, delivered images every night, kept on schedule, and walked an average of 9 miles per day. Yikes. It was fantastic.

I got to use all of my photojournalism experience to capture real moments and create a narrative for this corporate event and it was the most interesting event I have ever been to.

The event was developed by the nation’s leading clean energy organizations, the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), and represented an ongoing entrepreneurial approach to renewing best practices across the clean energy landscape as the marketplace evolves.

I look forward to the possibility of being the event photographer for their next conference in Las Vegas,
