Satisfied Clients
Consider our industrial photography assignment for Relativity Space who hired us to photograph their 26-ft tall robotic 3D printers used to make rocket ship housings.
Our challenge was lighting a huge machine so it looked beautiful and was done safely; not an easy feat, given that we had to hang ten 1000-watt lights on two 24ft tall towers so we could backlight a 20 X 20 ft silk frame.
The structure, which had to be photographed in 7 shots and composited in post-production, was the most technically difficult image I had created at the time, for any industrial client. Our turn-around time was 24 hours and our team of three photo assistants and Ed took 12 hours to complete the project.
Most of our work is on-location, where we build our own sets or shoot on the factory floors of clients like AMRO, an aerospace fabricating company, to photograph a high-tech machined platform used for a NASA mission, along with a computerized Toshiba lathe. Ed used digital techniques used by Hollywood retouchers and lighting typically used in the automotive industry, something Ed picked up during his long career.
And did we mention that Ed is easy to work with and performs well under pressure?
