Photojournalism Project for Chivas Regal Los Angeles

Chivas Regal had an invitation-only promotional party they wanted to be narrated for their social media feeds, so they asked Ed to cover the event. The pop-up bar was dimly lit but had some decent accent lighting, so, working alone, Ed made creative use of an on-camera strobe to help illuminate aspects of his images.

He moved quietly and asked permission from everyone he photographed to create a photographic story of the event. He looked for the light and moments to characterize Chivas Regal’s evening event. When he was finished he had a collection of images that characterized the spirit of the event.
